Cookies Policy
Last updated: November 7, 2026
This page explains which cookies we use, why we use them and how you can control them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work, remember your choices and, if you agree, help us understand how the site is used. Similar technologies such as local storage are covered by this policy too.
Cookies we use
| Type | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Security, load balancing, remembering your cookie choice and the guides you save. | Not required |
| Analytics | Google Analytics (via Site Kit) counts visits and shows which guides are popular, using aggregated data. | Only if you accept |
We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies for ads. If that changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent first.
Your choices
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all cookies or choose essential only. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then work less well.
To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, you can use Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How long cookies last
Our cookie-choice record lasts up to six months. Analytics cookies set by Google typically last up to two years. Saved guides stay in your browser until you clear them.
Changes
We may update this policy when we change the cookies we use. The date at the top shows the latest update. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data, or contact us with questions.
